Optical Operetta

In a garden, by the sea
Upon an ivory cliff
Dawn came as a covering
With sunlight on the lift
 
Languid blooms burst forth in light
As colors blossomed ripe
On the menu of the morn
Was banquet missed by night
 
From the sky, above the sea
To the coral sun
From the earth of blanket seed
Colors wove, as one
 
Brilliance sung her song unique
A hymn without a sound
An operetta, so to speak
From heaven to the ground

Lovely alliteration in the title.
This poem reminds me of the lightness and beauty
of the Mediterranean.

I've been away from the briar patch for a while. When you leave a familiar location you start to miss certain sounds and visuals. For example, when I return home to Scotland I am always delighted to hear the sound of a moorland peweep, the smell of forestry, and the sight of familiar, reassuring landmarks.
Here I am back at AD and once more in the fairweather realm of linguistic charm.
Operatta? Not so sure that this particular comic associated noun fits the rich pastoral impression depicted.
