Faith: Complete trust or confidence in someone or something with certainty...

Poem Artwork

There is never any certainty in this world
The only certainty you can be sure of is
Your own heart
Your own mind
Your own soul
And how you love

Certainty doesn’t mean the sun will rise
Or the moon will shine upon you
There is no certainty that your
Heart and mind are in sync

All you have is your Faith
And along with it goes Hope
Doubt will weigh heavy on Faith
When you are at your lowest
Doubt takes over and Faith is lost

You stop listening to
Your own heart
Your own soul
and your own mind

In your lowest you are
Easily influenced by
Others who care
Or pretend to care
Most have their own agenda

But you must not judge those
For even in your lowest point
If your love and faith are not strong
You reason you’ve done the right thing

It is part of the human condition
It is not your error it is your conditioning
What your logical mind tells you is right
Even if later truth creeps in to say you are wrong
You brush it aside knowing you made the right decision

Your certainty then blocks the search for meaning
You are certain you have done the right thing
Perhaps you have
But there is that ache which never stops
You say it’s healing and you will move on

You are told you need to move on
Many will tell you why you need to move on
And you want to believe their truth
But is it the truth?

Is it the truth when your heart and soul ache?
Yet you try to focus on other things…
You walk, you read, you listen to music
You search for quotes and you love your cats
You walk in nature, with an umbrella…
Does it end? This certainty?

The one certainty that I discovered is that of the 'human condition' even when we don't want to forget, to adjust....in time we do...the aching will continue for as long as it needs to, but given time...no matter how big is the loss....life will find its own momentum once more....then new beginnings...It is at this point that we are able to look back....and see the 'gifts' we have been given...and use them to continue happily to discover our life's true purpose...there is certainty in this....

the truth is flexible so we must adjust to its possible realities and its yet unknown potentials ...

Lovely poem-- there are some things I am certain of even in this life but I sense a deeper range of emotions from your words

certainty, some said it does exist. they say the certainty:uncertainty ratio is 1:10, could be more. you need to encounter 10 first.

lovely lines in your poem. hope all is well with you.

In certainty some things need time . Not that your not going forward you just need to know what to take with .....or take a deeper view. Beautiful poetry as always.

There is no certainty in life. All we need to do is to be our best, and do what we think is good for us. The rest will come into places where they should be. If not, then keep trying. All we've got is a lifeful (Guess I've just created this word) of time in our hands. We are all moving forward even though we may not know it. Everything we do has a purpose and each small success has to be rejoiced. In time you will feel better.

I don't think anything is sure or infallible or 1000 % for sure. I just go with the flow like a leaf on a stream. I will end up where I am meant to be and where life needs me.

Love ya!

Jane
