Every night in his bed-time prayers, Joe keeps asking God the same question, over and over, and over ... "God, why won't You let me win the lottery?" Finally, one night, Joe hears a deep, booming voice: "JOE - BUY A TICKET!" Been There! Done That!

IF There Is a GOD ... © - Tom Hyland - 2/10/11 If there is a God ... Does He hear Me? If He hears Me ... Why doesn’t he Answer? If He does Answer ... Am I in a Daze? Some say that He ... Works in Mysterious Ways! If His answers are Negative ... How can I Know? Is No Change an Answer? Is This Really So? I Ask that Others be Healed ... Family Members and Friends ... Some Do get Better ... But, Others meet their Ends! I Ask for Financial Assistance ... So I May Help Others ... Something Legal - Like the Lottery ... But - No Pot in which to Pee! I Ask for Government Officials ... To be Struck by Honesty ... But - ‘They’ get Richer and Richer ... Certainly Not You or Me! If He is merely Too Busy ... Can I offer to Help? God - Grant me that ‘Magic Wand’ ... And I Will Make ‘Them’ Yelp!

Yes, there is a God and hears, although it may not seem so. Wonderful poem, that gives usa lot to think about.

"If There is a God" Yes! There is a real God. And, this is quite a nice poem too, Tom. However, there is no one, who can say for sure that it's not God that inspired you to have written it. Whereby, it has given us a chance to comment. James 4:3 "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lust." In that case, we should only ask for those things that will please God. Thanks, blessings!!!

There's your problem, right there. You have to stop asking God to perform Impossible Miracles and start praying for easier stuff.
