This poem was inspired by a very bad date. Mild profanity. copyrighted work

Some of the things you say

Some of the shit you do

Really makes me wonder

Just what the hell is wrong with you?

I try and I try.

But still I fail.

And often times you make me cry.

You make me wail.

Why?

I ask myself.

Why?

Do I let you do these things to me?

What the hell did I do to deserve such malice.

Such reserve.

You're so cold and so heartless.

Always acting as though you're right.

Always making me out to be wrong.

And yet nothing could be further from the path that we both are on.

Are you listening?

Are you paying any attention at all?

Life with you just hasn't been a ball.

And where the hell are you to catch me when I fall?

I'm always there for you.

But of course what else would you have me do?

You're the only one who seems to matter.

It takes two to have a relationship.

This is not a dictatorship.

I am gone and I am leaving.

I'm just so tired.

Quite frankly my dear you are fired.
