Scamming Crocuses

Oh, the first announcers of Spring...the "opening act", the crocuses!

Peeking through the warming earth
Waiting patiently for warmth
Springing forth to give us mirth
Crocuses are planning

Sure they pop up here and there
Dwarfish stars so joyously
Twinkling so to gain fanfare
As all eyes are scanning

Yellow purple white and pink
Spring colors they show off now
Daffodils and tulips think
Crocuses are scamming

As soon as they stick out their heads above the ground we know spring is coming. I can hardly wait to see them appear.

Crocuses may be scamming by arriving early, but crocuses croak early too. ;-)

refreshes us and we can feel the warmth...
