The rustling and swaying of leaves during autumn.

Poem Artwork

Red and gold the leaves are turning
Almost looks like they are burning
Beauty way beyond all words
Find the right paint palette blurs

Praise the dawn showcase their beauty
Mother Nature knows their duty
Gently drifting to the ground
Warm the earth when snows abound

Is it that time of the year already? How time flies and the leaves have begun gathering on my deck every day to be swept off religiously.

Your poem is a reminder of the beauty and purpose of leaves. If only all of our lives would cycle with such glory!

I love the colors, smells and the crisp air of fall. Because of the lack of rainfall, there isn't much color this year, and I miss that beauty.

Yes, it is that time of year and every time Autumn arrives, it seems like "the first time" and we see it with new eyes, as you have so beautifully done in this poem, indeed our "paint palette blurs, but yours not by much.

Lady Jane,
A beautiful palette so defined are the hues.
Snow, especially the first of the season!
Sweet pen dear friend.

Incoming is the snow,
Off the lake it does grow,
Extra food and water you must stow,
For when it finally comes its gonna be a big mother of a blow...-e-

An observation made poetic by a keen awareness of the season's essence. Nice work.
