Ya'll know how I get when high, well this is one of those times...;)

Poem Artwork

Our flag does fly,

Up in the air, sky high,

We are here to protect,

Welcome to the 2nd American Revolution.

Hope you do not in anyway object…

We are as best we can most peaceful,

Over your eyes we wish not to put wool,

As well about this movement we offer no bull,

We will fight for all our freedoms,

We realize it does not come easily,

To world terrorism we are prepared,

To over your heads a death shroud pull…

We regret it had to come to this,

We prefer to live in peaceful bliss,

But out country is sinking into an abyss,

Please allow us to do our job before making a parti pris…

Very interesting write, my friend. Wish I had of been "up there" with you! If I might interject a single contradiction, though, the Second American Revolution ended in 1865. Well, in this ol butternut's eyes, anyway.

Nice write!

I enjoyed this Ed, especially how you expressed that by choice we would rather be a peaceful nation and that we fight at war for our freedom and protection of our country. Great write for we do owe honor to those that have fought the fight and victoriously won, and all of those whom have given their life for our freedom...I am very passionate about my freedom my right to freedom of speech, to be the person that I choose to be and my own opinion. You write on my friend, for our nation is a great nation, one that will stand up and fight if it is necessary...but peaceful by nature...enjoyed so much!
Blessings my friend,

Everyone should be able to live free...and for this we will strive! To do anything different, would be allowing all those who have fought for this, and all those who have fallen for the cause, would all be in vain...great thoughts, Ed

It surely seems to be, these days.

Ed I think you are one of the sober-minded ones. You poems are great. And you're saying things that need to be said.
