Lost at Sea

My compass spinning

My head around whirring

Drank too much & toked a bone

What the hell did I do with the key

Could it off the boat have flown…

 

The weather was prime

Though storms were predicted at night

Home by sunset I would have been

If my key had not taken flight…

 

It got darker and on the radio I called

The Coast Guard got the message

But busy they most assuredly were

The first clap of thunder did give me a fright…

 

Unanchored and adrift

I hoped towards the shore I was aiming

I can’t pull start the motor

Will I die tonight…?

Fiction? Maybe, but there's a whole lot of truth in being desperate and writing about it. It's better to think about it and try to come up with a way to get out of this mess we are in. In this case, how to get to shore without a key when were up a creek without a paddle.

Dear lill'brother that's not a boat that's an uncooked pancake that possible can float on you lawn. That was a bad grass (in your lawn)

I've found myself stranded with my brother several times. Both times the Cost Guard towed us in. You just don't play while boating. It's a dangerous game.

Scary situation you got yourself into. We will know by more writes whether you survived in such conditions and bad weather. Will be watching out for you too come back.

Durn you, ED! Quit doing things like this...you give us the scares! Best to stay ashore when your "in the mood" :o) Make another key and hide onboard for ememgencies like this...don't want to have to tell you twice...
