Poem Artwork

Uncle Edvard can’t have all the fun,

I was a pirate long before he saw the sun,

The black sails did quiver in the wind,

When my ship, the Dark Dog, did sail to commit sin…

I had no daddy way back then,

Twas another time,

The captain I was way back when,

Avast ye heartys & the hatches do batten,

Another ship of gold coin in our sights it is laden…

Of cannon and shot,

We kill & smoke pot,

Wanted dogs & men are we,

Dead or alive they won’t take me,

Die at sea & sink into the silt,

Nary did ever I have any guilt…
