This is a dialogue between a mother and a grown up son who asks his mother to discuss a story for the making of a script.

Poem Artwork

"Life has a greater meaning when you set out to explore it together"

What is the story you’ll like me to try

A tragedy is always  a hit for a good cry

Could it be a story of tears that dry!

Should it be then love at first sight,

To blow hot and  cold it seemingly goes

Or love that builds up with time and  with age

Or the one which begins by saying we are equal

In this game of love to play and stay happily ever after

How should the story of a girl with a boy  be dear son? I asked.

I want you to tell me the story of you, he said.

How different like day and night you are from him

But  each day   make it so well through the layers

Hope the run is so smooth for the rest of the years

Beat odes to make it  work all so well

I see my hippie mother who is my rockstar too!

Urging  to push ourselves that little more soon

Come trials, and strife, and troubles or debts

Trouble shooters, deceivers, or simply the mongers

All learnt very quickly of the strength and the  resilience

So strong the chord that keeps your boat afloat

The two of you stood on like  rock  unscathed

Tide over choppy seas or cobwebs of deceit

Kept the  sail on and smiling all along

Crossed each big hurdle each single day to be

I know of the great   sacrifices   you two would do

Did so  to bring out the best in the other

A lesson to learn from the book of a life well lived

Even as a soft furling of  eyes

Is all that I notice when you are sad

When I search all of your face

And you  me  specify with nothing

Like   life giving leaves of a tree, you just nod

O! that is the story I am looking for dear mother,he said.

I am afraid I will see less of this or no other!

Beautiful work, J.K. Tend the story for one of youth...it comes out well so based in truth

There is no greater love than a son who wishes to write the story of his parents' struggle.

I'm afraid mine would be too boring––two sets of twins and conspicuous consumption.

A touching tribute to self sacrifice and shouldering the weight of responsibility. This was heartwarming. Not at all like my vampire poem that you said I should never write again.
