I had this wonderful opportunity to attend a poetry workshop by Martin Kiszko held In Mumbai, when he was in town during a literary event in 2013,

Here are some double dactyl poems I managed to do during the workshop.
The pattern we were given to follow is like this:
Each poem consists of eight lines. In each of this: Lines first, second, third lines have six syllables each. The fourth line could be one word of four syllables. The same pattern is repeated in the next four lines. The second line should have the character’s name. The last line should rhyme with the fourth line. The sixth line can be of one double dactyl nonsensical word. The first line here is made up of two double dactyl nonsense words. The total number of syllables in each of these poems are 44 syllables.

Poem Artwork

Hankering, punckering

Miss Daisy Dickenson

Went to a beauty shop

 Anti wrinkle

Rubbed it on cotton lace

 Superluminousface

Soon came the bridegroom and

Called  for the bride.

Angel fish

Flagelling  dagelling

Long fin tailed Angel fish

Caught in a fishing net

Furiously leapt

Tore up his pyjama

Apestilentially

Bit on his hairy leg

And swiftly left

At least you made something readable and funny out of the exercise. I can understand why poetry freaks like to make mathematical puzzles out of poetry as though it were some kind of contest to see who can come up with the most ridiculous construct.

That's why I don't even do crossword puzzles. While so many enjoy them and write their haiku, I don't waste my time with those things (I have other time wasters) and write to convey emotion and meaning, rather than confusion and conformity to form.

Haha! I got a kick out of this, J.K. Sounds much too complicated for me to try though.
