I found myself missing my Mummy a lot today. I wrote this in loving memory of her.

Sometimes time slips away,

Leaving us with memories.

The sweet memories of yesterday,

keep playing in my mind.

You were my sunshine,

my very heartbeat.

My best friend and mother you were.

We prayed, ate, worked and even sang together.

In your sweet arms i was protected,

nurtured and brought up.

'twas a lifetime of ecstatic happiness,

and cherish it i do.

Though we went our separate ways,

we left behind the most precious of times.

A time that we will never know again.

Still sucks to think of it, but that's life.

Your last words echo like sirens in my mind,

'to always remember you.'
