A poem that rhymes.

With time spread out before me With no chance of growing old I toyed with could be, would be My future bathed in gold Each scenario brought fortune Every venture gathered wealth With all my dreams unbroken I would always have my health I wagered my future with my youth Every day spent in the sun Ten foot tall and bulletproof Almost every hand I won Well time crept up behind me It caught me unaware Where was could be, would be? Age just wasn�t playing fair Had time called in my markers? Demanding payment on my debt? No more minutes in the hours? Nothing left to bet? I could capture what could have been I could bring things back in line I'd break the bank; I'd go all-in If I had more time. ��

Wow, you may just be a better poet than a novelist. I really liked this one, it gets to a man my age. Makes me look ahead and wonder what is left.
