Tough choices in the card isle

Poem Artwork

Choosing a Mother’s Day card

Life’s full of challenges some of them hard

Like picking out your wife’s Mother’s Day card

If you just randomly pick one from the rack

You’ll soon find yourself putting it back

To your chagrin, you’ll have discovered

It’s not for your wife, it’s for your mother

You need one with words she’ll believe

Wives are smart, they are hard to deceive.

So, don’t expect her to fall down in a swoon

If you choose a card promising her the moon

You’ve been married too long, she’s heard it before

She’ll laugh so hard she’ll fall down on the floor

It’s a good thing my wife is the best of sports,

The only moon she gets is when I change my shorts.

The only person that gets mooned in my house is me as I live alone and have mirrors everywhere...-e-

A poet should never have to buy a card with another poet's rhymes on it.

It always helps to have a good looking butt if you're going to go mooning around.

Good one. Personally, I've never quite understood why a wife should get a Mother's Day card from her husband. She's not his mother. And ditto for Father's Day. Now having said that, I do get my wife something for Mother's Day, Just to keep on her good side so I don't get my ass smacked when I moon her.

FUNNY!!! I moon my wife on a regular basis. It's one way we laugh at each other. Sometimes it can get out of control. LOL!
