Lying alone and sobbing?

Once

Once in dreams I saw our future
Filled with love and tenderness
Instilled by your sweet caress

Once in words I felt your love
Your sensual voice rolled through my soul
Your passion flowed and took control

Once in time we spoke so long
I heard the melodies within my heart
All your desires you did impart

Once in quietude I sensed your angst
To eradicate the source I did implore
Still your pain wove through my core

Once in loneliness my eyes did burn
Vision blurred and my tears did roll
Sad emotions I could not console

Once in a moment my happiness echoed
My head upon the pillow I did lay
In silent prayer I gave thanks for the day

Once in a while the irresolute turmoil
Took siege and played havoc with me
Leaving me battered in an emotional sea

Fragments of dreams the words and time
The quietude, loneliness and the moments
Once in a while into my life were evoked

Now all these fragments reside within
My spirit and soul and my bleeding heart
Have our dreams of future but fallen apart?
