A Leaf

Am
But a leaf
In time’s wind; gusting at
Moments; soft, silent zephyrs of melancholy swaying
At other times, filled with dreams and schemes
And needs versus desires…
Falling, then flying, but always falling
Then twisting in pirouettes of free-style drifting, fleeing, seeking, always searching
Yet, oblivious to it all…lost in the moment of the fall…lost to the design
Of my ways, my pointed, prickly ended efforts and failures…
Only aware in this time, in this span
Of falling simply
That
I am
Dieing
Only As
A leaf …
