I Dreamt

I dreamt of fields

of wild roses

of new mown hay

and puppy noses

of kisses sweet

little baby feet

a tender touch

that meant so much

 

i dreamt of stars

full moon bright

of waves on sand

and you at night

a broken heart

that I couldn’t heal

seemed so wrong

seemed so real

 

I dreamt of sheets

satin and silk

fresh baked cookies

ice cold milk

of your lips on mine

tongue to tongue

no promise made

new year begun

 

I dreamt of tears

of broken parts

the hands of time

stood all apart

no one knew

how it would start

I dreamt uncovered

a loving heart…

Nothing shy about THAT -- a good ole fashioned love poem, nicely penned. On the second paragraph, you might want to capitalize the "I" and it will be ace-perfect. You do nice work :-)
