How sad are the roses that wilt on the stem
It’s mournful to hear a lost lover’s sad sigh
We all know the pain of a tearful goodbye
But have you ever…seen…Santa Claus cry
Teardrops will roll and they’ll take a huge toll
Big heart can break sure as reindeers can fly
His beard won’t absorb and the teardrops won't dry
Oh have you ever…seen…Santa Claus cry
Teardrops freeze into ice in cold Northern air
Drop down as hail in the Northern Lights sky
Maybe old Santa somehow lost the will to try
Oh have you ever…seen…Santa Claus cry
Elves can’t console him or Rudolph’s red nose
The magic gone and he’s left wondering why
Jack Frosts does his best but he really can’t lie
Because he’s never seen…Santa Claus… cry
