Caduceus
She calls upon
her spirit snake
to digest the
rebirth.
She slithers off
into the woods
to find a
shady spot
to coil
herself
in meditation,
as all
movement
should be
slow.
She calls upon
memory pages of
Library of the Sage
for reference,
taking a prescription
of
shapeshifting
medicine to
fit the
need.
She coils herself
in a bed
of discarded
pine needles
and wind-blown
oaks.
The transformation is
mental, as the
snake has a
special sensory
organ, a small
pit in its head.
The physical aspect of
her metamorphosis
is hypnotic,
because of her
unblinking stare,
as a snake has
no eyelids,
letting her
eyes look deep
into heart and
soul.
She unhinges her jaw
and swallows
the knowledge
whole.
A most powerful
rebirth,
worthy of
striking a
mental
reservation.
Giving her courage
to re-own
herself when
"it"
appears,
the
caduceus
symbol,
where two snakes
entwined,
used of
medicine
and doctors,
the symbol of
wisdom
through
healing.
Originally, the
symbol of the
sovereignity
of the
Goddess.
Hermetic Tradition,
symbol of spiritual
awakening.
Kundalini serpents
of Hindu
symbol.
Caduceus.
