A fellow poet, Bonnie May wrote a poem about Gossip. From her poem I was able to conjure my own personal expeience with gossip in the form of a poem.

Poem Artwork

We cannot always trust large Chistian groups because non-Christians hang out in the woods.

They twist what is truth, what is good, and so many thoughts can become misunderstood.

Around Christian groups we usually trust many and tell them about our walk.

We share our heart-filled thoughts  and feelings, thinking that others will not gossip and talk.

Within these groups are demons who love to judge this and judge that.

They dress in sheep’s clothes and they will gossip at the drop of a hat.

It is sad to say there are few places to go to find peace of mind these days.

But "Thank the Lord" there are still some true Christians among us where our heart-filled thoughts can safely stay.

Amen

Reference:

 Proverbs 26 22 The words of a gossip are like choice morsels;
they go down to a man's inmost parts.

Those who self designate themselves in the seat of judgment, sometimes forget to point that finger inward as they each gaze into the mirror. Great writing, pointed and clear....

Be always safe,

Maybe we all have our own meaning to what a true Christian is. I have a strong belief and I look forward to going to church on Sunday. I try to live a good life and I love to make sure others are taken care of. As far as Gossip, I believe everyone does it. The moment you mention someone's name it is good or bad. There was only one is perfect and He will be the judge in the end. As usual John you share a wonderful write, much to ponder. Thank you for sharing.

I'm afraid I have to say "ditto" to what Julie Donner Andersen wrote in her preview. Sadly it is true. Good poem. Blessings, J'nia

Being a Christian (as opposed to being a "non-Christian") does not exempt us from the temptation of gossip nor from committing the sin itself. "For ALL have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:3). Yes, non-Christians will "hide in the woods," but those trees in that 'woods' ought to be less hypocritical and judgemental. It's been my experience that Christians I've known are the MOST gossipy, judgemental people I've ever met, which is why I stay away from organized religion and just love the Lord with all my heart and soul...and pray for His hypocritical and sanctimonious children.

I feel that you seem to understand my poems, which is such a blessing.I am also glad there are people that we can share our faith with. The others?Well- Maybe they just aren't ready or able to acceept God's love yet.All we can do is realize we know who we are and that Jesus knows very well what misunderstanding feels like and we can always go to him.Thank you so much for such a wonderful and insightful poem. With Love,Cindy

We have to rise above the gossips. I have people talking about me behind my back for ages, spreading malicious rumours about me which is entirely untrue and yet everyone thinks it's true and post poems to direct them at me. I have carried sins on my forehead for ages which I have not committed. Believe me, it is no picnic which you are being accused of something you have not done.

You just have to ignore these gossip-mongers and rise above their levels. I have since disregard these people and live my own life the way it should and the ONLY one who will judge me at the end is the Lord, and I have nothing to regret!!!

I know the hurt feelings you are a caring person and you give your heart and then get a kick on your ass in return. I know this hurt feelings all too well.
