Mom's Final Good Friday

My mother went to be with the Lord on Good Friday, 4/19/19. She loved playing cards, especially "Aces in the Corner". However, she is finally holding all the aces!

Poem Artwork

Mom’s holding all the aces!

Yes, she has pure agape love

Mom has got all the aces!

She has a winning hand, up above!

Mom now holds no grudges or remorse!

She holds the ace of hearts!

She loved, she lived, she laughed

Now she’s begun, a brand-new start.

Mom has highest spade of all

She is cool, calm and collected

She’s among St. John, Peter and Paul

She’s at peace, complete and perfected!

Now mom has the finest diamonds around

She has earned a golden crown

She found such treasures in heaven

Finer treasures earth cannot be found!

Clubs of clover are in her hands

She holds all the aces at her command

Life on earth closed like a sunset in the sand

Her treasures in Heaven are oh so grand!

What a glorious life it will be!

It starts when this one is over and done!

All the treasures that we will see.

A spiritual celebration awaits you and me

What joy!  What fun!

Thank you, mom

For giving your all

I will love you forever!

Thank you, Jesus

For a great mom!

Love,

Johnny

Your son

I hope that you have written this and showed her for she left yesterday. It would have lit up her heart!

My mother recently got my latest book and is probably eagerly reading every page. In spite of the long struggle, she still manages to read and write occasional notes at 94 and nearly deaf with aphasia that makes it very hard for to communicate.
