Time flies don't forget to stop and smell the roses.

Poem Artwork

None of us do as much as we should

There never seems to be enough time

None of us do as much as we could

Seems life never stops on a dime

Do you ever help all you could ?

Today is the day lest we forget

To remember all those we should

Take a moment to think lest we forget

Over the years lives stopped on a dime

Lives put on hold while they went over sea's

They gave us our freedom with no thought at the time

their lives would be lost as they dropped to their knees

Today is the day we honor those lost

One day of the year to cherish our freedom

To never forget the ultimate cost

Hero's forever now in God's kingdom

Now take a moment to pray

And give thanks for those lost

As with freedom we play

Always remember the cost.

Luke  Nov 11th 2017  Remembrance Day

Thanks folks for commenting. Ron my father drowned at sea when i was 7 years old and i have the right to make that heroic to me. Remembering our losses will hopefully prevent us from going to war again.Lest we forget !

Excellent tribute to our heroes.

Most families today do not have someone they lost. And the number of families who do, gets fewer all the time as those that remember the tremendous loss of WWII are gone. Isn't that wonderful?

It should mean that more of us can now focus on the survivors of recent wars and put more time and money into helping them overcome their demons and in war altogether. Stop making it heroic.

We even forget what we should most remember. A fine tribute here.
