 The Evil Of War

OH! Sweet Mystery of Life
beyond recall
When on the World
the bombs began to fall

OH! What fate awaits us all
The rockets fly up in the sky
There's burst of fire everywhere
No place to flee that we can see

What will become of men?
Dear God what can this be?
Is this the rapature come to pass?
Is it too late for men to repent?

Or is this just fair warning to us all?
This is not the end,I do not think
This is the war to end wars
Some will survive, but many die

Men have behaved so badly in the past
That this is sent to us in punishment
To know we all are connected in some way
And all must pay the price of sinful men

No one can escape the dreadful
night of darkness
There are screams of terror
of people dying

The crying of children in despair
OH! Spare the children,
I cry out
What they could have done that is so bad
that they must die because of evil men

Whose lust of money and desire
of all things given from above
Which should be free and without cost
From the Great Father in Heaven

OH! men, What great sin of greed
has caused this
horror and terror on the World
to bring men to Peace once more

For we are all connected in some way
And we must pay the price for All
And suffer this for Evil Men
Who cannot resist this lust and greed

May all of the worldly wars end soon. These are sad times, indeed, Little Flower. I think writing about our feelings in these times can sometimes be the only things keeping us sane! I just found your work. I will have to make the time to read some more of it.

Thank you.

Your poem touches my heart! War, it's all about power, money, and greed Little Flower! Big corporations and big countries want more, more, and more. War results when one country (or groups of people) tries openly or secretively, to take over another country, to gain more power and control, in order to make more money off its people or natural resources! We (each and every one of us) can only try to be more loving, understanding, and well informed. We can consciously keep focused on being more spiritually minded and not so materialistic! Oh if we would only live by the 10 commandments and not covet our neighbor's goods! But mankind has not learned those lessons yet. Thus sadly, there will be much more devastation, mistrust, greed, hatred and war. Pray, Little Flower! Pray!

Your anguish and compassion for all afflicted by the horrors war can have on them is wonderful and very moving.
