Me Tarzan...you, what???

The polluters are deaf to the reason voices, so what about telling them the truth between laughter?
We will be leaving a world with a dirty face for tomorrow's generations, a world that once was peaceful and innocent until Man feverish started working on it with vengeance and today we are walking on it up to here.
Maybe humor isn't the formula, so, if not, what it is?

Poem Artwork

As I, me, travel nonchalant from
tree to tree hanging from a vine,
I can hear coming from below
is a rocket! is a bullet! is a plane!
no, no, no, no!, you are all wrong,
it is me, aaahiiiooohaaa Tarzan!!!

The one that up about the tree tops
has a bungalow for a proper house,
with three rooms and a kitchen
and oops! nowhere to find a bath,
as every morning I am reminded
by those below that are going by.

Among all what you call apes,
I am the only completely shaved one,
oh! they make fun of me, from the
little monkeys up to Tantor, the elephant,
but am stronger that Kala gorilla silverback
and the king of the jungle, that's a fact.

Up in the house is Jane, another naked ape,
but it is a "she," what you could call a "gal"
chasing away my poker game buddies
and once every moon, for a few nights,
converting herself into a warring banshee
that not even Tarzan, to tangle with, wants.

We haven't got cinema here, or popcorn,
Boy, our son, came after a week of heavy rain,
born screaming is head off, and still does,
with what's called jungle rock with his band,
a Tasmanian Devil drummer, one bass gorilla
and three chimps chorus to scream duha!!! duha!!!

Oh yes! why am writing this to all of you?
because I am old and you forgot Tarzan,
coming here on safaris, taking pictures
and littering my world with discarded trash,
be my guest, come to look up to my house, but,
do it after Tantor leaves a lot of bull outside.

Oh bring me back to the days of Tarzan and Jane...such simpleness, yet intriguing in its own right...Our Earth needs to find another way to get the worlds attention...we must...and what better way then a little humor to get the message out!
Enjoyed this Georg~
Love and Peace~

It was always guys who came into the jungle from so - called civilisation that sought to gum up the works.
All Tarzan (symbolising the man of ordinary needs) wanted was his tree house, freedom to swing from tree to tree, a river to swim in, and Jane and Boy - nothing more simpler. Machiavelli would have had no trouble allowing him this.
But civilisation, no matter which part of the world, is never satisfied. Why? Human nature.

Had me also thinking of Johnny Weismuller, Jock Mahoney, Lex Barker and Gordon Scott et al while reading this tongue in cheek jungle tale. Ah memories of the bronze screen.

THE CREATORS OF TARZAN WERE GREAT ADVOCATORS OF THE FAUNA AND FLORA's PRESERVATION. Blessed be their memories.

"Me Tarzan...you, what???" ~just profound wit-wise composition.

Gratefully in admiration,

Very humorous !!
I Agreed with you we are very wasteful and the new
generations Will also need to learn from us so
We really need to stop cutting down the beauty of nature
and very well expressed message
Also Tarzan needs this trees we all do!!
Very funny bit it delivers the message!!

Enjoyed this much, full of humor, but with wisdom, for if we do not take care of the resources that we have been given, there may not be any left for generations to come. We have become a selfish and wasteful society! Great write...by the way I loved watching Tarzan as a kid! Creative indeed!
