Before someone jump the gun:
We are coming near that junction where we can elect the right or the wrong people to send to Washington's White Teepee, careful, boys and girls, be careful because Haliburn's Dick have a shotgun...

Poem Artwork

Please…not another jerk! I assure you,
elect me and you will get what you want,
all of it, I am certainly not a crook, I say
no IRS audit, I will your taxes cut in half.

See how the envy are eating all the souls
Of those that swear of being Democrats,
while they are conspiring dastardly things
with Republicans on the other side.

I will oppose all gun control all the way,
and the right to bear all the arms you want,
that’s when talking for votes to the NRA,
which I will screw but good, be sure of that.

We politicians need to perform so well,
give a little wink while talking, with an eye,
to the farmers that screw their field workers,
saying that I will free everyone in the South.

Oil for blood I will not accept for a doctrine,
if you elect me as President just I might
declare war to please our restless military
and screw once more those frigging Veterans.

Send your donations which sure will help
for President to run smoothly my campaign,
but please, address hose fatty envelopes to
be deposit in my account, “Bank of Cayman”

Who becomes the next presidnt does not seem to matter much anymore because presidents in this country have become figure heads. It is one big country club and all any care about is their own back pockets and power. Power being the number one goal, no matter how many promises are broken or how many people are forever hurt. You could say that "We the people" no longer serve a purpose to those in Washington. Fantastic, but sadly true piece...

Be safe,
Karen

Amazing how close to the truth this write really is
I think that Andre Bendavi
Said it best in his review I happened to agree with his
Comments if Congress doesn't comply with constitution
I do believe more of us will be below poverty line!
Outstanding Message within this write!!

Whew! I think each candidate should have a picture of themselves -- talking out both sides of their mouth. Now, THAT would be an honest campaign.

"Your Next President" is a wit-wise composition.

No matter who becomes the President ~ as long as the Congress doesn't comply with the Constitution ~ and the people of our country keep allowing government to play with dogs in the White House, more slaveyards and Concentration Camps will be built, and more people will line up below poverty line.

In admiration,

Your humour and cynicism in this is delicious Georg. Fat brown envelopes deposited in the Caymans strikes a nerve. Of course I would imagine that much of that happens all the time. The right people is the key though Georg. I have not found any candidate to my liking yet, or worthy of my tenuous trust of politicians.

Blessings to you ...

I agree with EdK we need a clean sweep, but the people are too divided to do it. Also most aren't interested they don't think anything can change and won't bother to even try! Thanks for
this excellent parody...I may try Walts party this time...

yet another outstanding piece Georg

To run for President these days

All you need is a wink, a whisper

and a jar of vaseline....For sure

And you'll be in like "Flint"

This is too close to the truth! The worst thing is that we have all become cynics -- and we are justified.

I have a strict voting policy. I don't vote for the incumbent! You only get one chance to screw up the country any worse than it already is. I figure that with this voting concept somewhere along the way we might get someone who can clean up all the messes! Love the write, and I may just write you in!!

I doubt we can even find 'the right people' for the job these very sad days. It seems no matter what they promise in their campaign speeches, our politicians these days all soon become puppet spokesmen for greedy corporate America. I think we need to throw the whole lot out, and start fresh, but where will we find 'the right people?'

Georg,

I am a registered Libertarian. Once when approached by an assistant DA in my county, for a donation to the republican party, I told him that and he said, "Yeah ya know, I like their paltforms, but they don't have a chance of winning."
We need a third party badly in this country, but to not vote for someone because they don't have a chance of winning is herd mentality at it's finest. Go Vote Libertarian and show them the peoples party does have a chance.

Who knows once they get in office what will happen...It seems that we are gambling with our country, rights, and our future with each election...I dread this one! The choices are grim...great write, drives the point home!

One President is like the next anymore: full of empty promises; when is there going to be a president who's for the PEOPLE, not himself or the money?? I'm very disappointed in the choices for the next president; I'm very disappointed in the whole LOT of them, the whole government!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

The presidents we've had are so out of touch it's not even funny! The last good one we had was Reagan!
