Many words have been spoken and all of them are lies, if you do want to know the truth about that damn poker game...

Poem Artwork

We were playing cards with the brothers
in that outrageously overpriced saloon,
that a Red Head by the name of Belle
like having the bull by its bells, I thought,
was commanding everybody to drink
wearing skirts up to here…and then more.

Russel Crowe was sitting at the table when
that mean stinking Sheriff Fee came around,
eyeballing Jersey Ed, suspicion of cheating,
the brother sent to spy the others, Rufuz dog,
and to inform on Slimi hands good old Russel
had parked back there not other than Billy Bob.

Sheriff Fee sucked his cigar like a thirsty calf
as I showed Jersey that Aces in spades I had two,
which Mr. Whipple got a little too fast glimpse
giving everybody a heart attack screaming FOLD!!!
PeeWee too droped his cards, two Queen of Heart
which with the two of the Sheriff they make four.

“You cheating” screamed Sheriff Fee raising up
which Jersey thought it was for him and hit the floor,
“I see a gun” I yelled to everyone hoping they duck,
but Black Ed, hustler of cards, was already below,
trying to disentangle his holster from the leg of a chair
and get to point in the right direction his forty four.

I didn’t see Jersey nowhere so it was safe for me
to aim at everybody and start me guns to shot,
I sent Mr. Whipples and Slimi to see Saint Peter
and for good measure, in the company of Billy Bob,
with Russel I had no quarrel, but that low vermin
of a Sheriff as he retreated I gave him another hole.

With Jersey I collected all the monnies and invited
all the survivors of the fracas for a big drink round
that Bella didn’t opposed as she already had propped
our dear brother in a corner looking more alive now
than when he was in that teepee with Angry Woman,
as I got me a Red Head, "gun" was ready, aimed and shot.

Ol'Long Georg

Hmmmmnnn although this is a much colourful poem than my origianal, I am not surprized for after I shot that dog of a brother of yours, I threw you in the cahoose for such a long time that you had more time to make up your lying dime book version of the fight at the Black Rose. lol

HO HO! Wait til Angry Woman reads this - she's gonna see Red!! (I better wake her up, right now.) But thank God you let Russell Crowe live since he did get me that part in the movie.

But why didn't you at least wing that Jersey Devil of a brother of ours??!!
