Poem Artwork

When I want to play, nobody is there,
so, for canine revenge, I chew a shoe,
or disembowel one expensive cushion
and pee on father his favorite couch,
looking innocent, and sad, and lonely,
abandoned in an empty house all alone.

I know of a uncle that have only one,
but alone his dear Rufuz he never did,
another of uncles dear has five of them
with a funny name, call himself PeeWee,
those uncles love their canine friends,
I wish that one of those could be me.

You don’t fear, I can look for my self,
little, my bark hurts less than my bite,
I can play dead to scare the bejaysus
off, of children cruelly pulling my tail,
and to be sure that no one sleeps well
I get to howling all freaking long night!

You will think “best we get rid of him”
but see how cute a little puppy I am,
all furry to tickle your funny bone
until left alone in an empty house,
the little puppy will have a change…
then…dear Devil Cujo, step aside!

I like this one very much, it's so wonderfully written and the photo is so cute. Dogs get bored too, like people, but at least they remain cute.

Sometimes leaving even Rufuz at home is not something that can be avoided, though mostly he is out cruising with me...he is really great at home by himself...he lays up in the front window and barks at anyone that gets within 500 feet of his domain...LOL, Ed & rufuz

The joy and tribulations of owning a pet. I have none right now, after I am done working, I want a doggie for my twilight years..
Much peace, love, and light,

And this is why we don't have pets...hee, hee...Actually, too many allergies is the real reason.

A sneak attack on my sentiments you rascal, you must be alone and creating mischiev to cook up this tearing at our hearts, but you right, and like Belle said, they can get spitefull to let you know that they are severely displeased, I can't go for my walk for more then a couple of hours, and my seventeen year old pomm will piss in my shoes or somewhere to make sure I step into it, or the old lady which is worse. Blessings old buddy! Juergen

Animals are social, and many stay alone while the owners work.
I leave the tv or radio on for my bird. He cannot tear up stuff like the puppies...but I know he gets lonely. Very cute little poem Georg

Geog,
I have a precious little dog named Blackie and I've often wondered what he does when I'm away. I don't know the answer to that but I do know when I get home he's happy to see Mommy. Enjoyed this poem!

Blessings,
~Linda

And I love 'em all, and I would never want to live without at least one lovable dog.

PS: When I was in the military, I had a dog that simply hated to be alone; he chewed up my entire sofa, and all my chairs, and my bed! I didn't get mad at him, I gave him to a sergeant, with five lovely young children, and he became their valiant protector, for many years. And he was now happy, for he was never alone, and now he had five tiny humans, who loved him.
