No national fireworks
to scare the Eskimo,
because our friends up north
ain’t not a freeking republic,
sleeping together with the French
you will find the English weird
saying coquettishly that they…
love to have on top…a Queen!
From the land that gave us
the Mohican and Pocahontas
the Blue Jays with icepicks
that bunch are for the Yankees
all they will ever need,
and here comes Broadway show
announcing the Chippendales
dancing with brother Fee.
To be fair, what could we do
without that maple syrup
on our American pancakes
of every morning bliss?
We smile! And thank we say
and so truly do we mean,
they are our dear cousins,
of our family the black sheep!
From Vancouver to Halifax,
from coast to coast the Canucks
have there a lot of big country,
and we, a lot of border to keep,
down here we are very happy
with Michelle and Obama kin,
soon Canadians will have Camilla
and Dumbo ears for their King.
We love our cousins up north
and we love them so very much
that we will say to hell with the borders
and come to our Republic, oh…Canada?

I love Canada, especially Vancouver Island along the west coast. I have it written into my fourth novel. I've been through British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan, and would go back on a road trip in a heartbeat. incidentally, my brother Russell and his wife just returned from Stockholm, they were there for a family reunion. Enjoyed the write Edvard, churned up a lot in me.

Brother Edvard, you are just like Pee Weeeeeeeee, you love to start trouble! I lived and worked in Canada for over two years, and found it a wonderful place to live with warm loving people! Of course, I'm not saying it doesn't have its faults,especially some of the people who love to hate us;-)
Not sure if I should feel honored or frightened by such an offer...lol, my second book called The Canadian Loyalists was about just such an invitation by our cousins to the south, and in the book we are still fighting. Enough said though you should read it sometime lol. As for flying the stars and stripes...much prefer our maple leaf forever, mind you if you ever want to join God's country...all are welcome here.
