Every family with multiple brats has a band, some are even musical, others...well... them can go moving mountains hollering away, and then, you have the Ed's Banjo Band (without a banjo)

Poem Artwork

Three redneck brothers needed money
so they formed an hillbillies band,
went around giving midnight concerts
entrance ticket a jug or first class moonshine
guarded by a most lazy bloodhound
borrowed from an expecting a cut sorry Ma,
which never saw again the ungrateful bunch
that went on running the bootleg in Canada.

The Canucks were a very strange dudes
without ears for a tune or hillbillies musicals
something in the water of their dirty rivers
or just for drinking some heavy duty chemicals,
cos they were buying those terracotta jugs
with the smuggled fire water from the south
making so much happy fuss that their Mounties,
wearing those red jackets, came at last around.

Just for that ubiquitous little whiskers distance
three brothers Ed escaped the Canadian fuzz
with their pockets full of their Monopoly money
that south of the border couldn’t get you no buy;
PeeWee had that grand idea of going north
making Jersey Devil Ed to carry the moonshine
cos he was sure he couldn’t con his Ole Brother
that was more tricky than a snake in the grass.

Arriving on American ground, the brothers Ed
found Chicago, where a Tiger Lily nursing Ma
was expecting her share of the smuggled goods,
that PeeWee with Canadian paper would her shaft
with a total disapproval of angelic Jersey Ed
and shaking head in sadness from Ole Edvard,
you ain’t treat yer family that way no way
but that’s PeeWee, a leech that suck you dry!

Cedar Lake is only 45 minutes from Chicago
I can play banjo & yukalaylee
and am a pretty decent 2-stepper
but you must sip some of me homemade moonshine first
and I shall share my Patron Silver with you Georg
