Another of the quips by the famous Will Rogers explained something that I never really understood until the years went fleeting by. Now I must admit I find myself chuckling as I read them. I am going to try to put another one of them to rhyme.

A quote from Will Rogers, “If you don’t learn to laugh at trouble,” he said
“When you grow old you will have nothing to laugh at, at all.”

When I was younger that meant not much to me for I did not see
That the funniest one in the room could easily be me.

Now that the years have passed swiftly by
I now realize Mr. Rogers was telling no lie.

When I look around I see misunderstanding and hate.
If I dwell on these feelings sadness will become my fate.

Therefore I have decided to look for the humor I see.
I will dwell on the laughter to rejuvenate me.

Even if it is myself that makes me smile
I have come to realize that a smile is never out of style.

So take serious the advice of a wise old man
And find humor in whatever form you can.

Laugh and the whole world laughs with you, it’s true .
Cry and you cry alone with nobody around for you to cry too.
