I sat and looked down through the boat with a glass bottom.
My mind put at ease and my body cooled by the brisk breeze of autumn.
I could see the fish swimming; seemingly right below and looking like whales.
I was reminded that they were not that large; maybe six inches from their head to their tales.
The water was crystal clear, cool and acted as a magnifying glass
And as we hovered onboard we watched the many fish as they swam past.
The cool autumn breeze made it easy to imagine that we were swimming with the fish.
What a joy it would be to swim in waters not yet polluted; the answer to our wish.
One must ponder how long the waters can sustain their purity in this world today.
I put this sad thought out of my mind and simply enjoyed the wonder of that day.
My prayer is that the waters of Silver Spring can maintain their clarity
Until my grandchildren and their grandchildren see it as reality and not as a parity.
Do not pollute the Earth and do not misuse the gifts of our creator.
Take care of our home planet and be at peace with all nature.
A glass bottom boat, What a Blessing!
One of my dreams still, to sit and take in the stunning views!
Right now, the ocean walks will have to keep my smiling throughout the hardest times of life and love!
May we pray many listen! and follow what is right for our life to sustain for our Grand Children/etc...
A felt such a peace still, reading every line of this Wonderful and heartwarming poem!
What a memory you all made!
Warmly, Warrior Lady Sheeeoox
