Dedicated to our own dog savior, Mr. Ed Kostro, who’s
saved dogs in worse shape than me.

My Signature

Dog's World

In this world its dog eat dog,
I like 'em hot, a foot long log.

I doggedly track down life's highway,
dog tracking cockeyed, but my way.

When I'm dog tired and dragged out,
like to lay on my back, legs up, and pout.

I watch my step in this dog's world,
it's hard to get off once it's soiled.

Took a dog leg on the golf course,
and lifted it on a tree.
The other members weren’t amused.
They arrested me.

I mark my territory with great care,
if you cross that line better beware.

To get ahead requires a pac[k],
a lone wolf loses in an attack.

Doggy style is fine and it's okay,
but once in a while I change my play.

Watch my teeth when I am mad,
my bark is greater than my bite, I'm glad.

I'm a dog and have to admit,
so ladies, when I pant, just tell me to, "Sit."

12 paws up (our 3 dogs) plus my two thumbs for this one, Ron. So clever and so many ways we use the word "dog." One of my students wrote about a "doggy dog" world in an essay. Nice work!

How did I miss this, especially with Mr. Kostro's shot at me, AGAIN, always pickin on me...this was funny, Ron, I enjoyed it whole doggedly...and as for Kostro, I don't want him rescuing me if he is going to be around me or my yard taking a pee...-e-

All of a sudden, I feel like humping a leg. Maybe I'll visit the bone tree and get a bone to chew on. By the way, when you're dog tired and you lay on your back. do you get a belly rub?

Love the wordplay! Allusions and innuendo done nicely. I've rescued 2 dogs - one was a dachshund, the other a border collie.

I would pay real money to see you doing the mattress mambo doggy style. As long as I could bring a camera. Gotta give you credit for painting that image. :)

I just walked in from another rescue mission, and I see this!

Thanks so very much for the dedication - and I've marked my territory in so many places around the Midwest while out on a mission that I'm amazed that I haven't been arrested yet (but most police officers are extremely understanding when I explain why I'm hiding in, and peeing on, someone's bushes in the middle of the night.)

But now that you've penned this, old Ed Matlack is gonna start bugging me to rescue him again!

Thanks, Pal.
