We are social animals. We are easily misled when we follow rather than think through our actions. Don't be too dependent on your social sources of information. They may be wrong or destructive. Get the facts before flying off the handle.

All you crude people who blow your nose with toilet paper!

Panic

Have you heard?

Have you heard?

"The sky is falling,"

quoth the nerd.

The herd instinct,

it is alive and well.

Brings no blessings,

just a living hell.

Believe in a rumor,

rather than the fact.

Follow your buddy,

don't know how to act.

Over protect your loved ones,

rather than the general good.

Greedily hoard resources,

in your defined neighborhood.

Reject all government guidelines,

your friends are experts all.

To do crass things is your right,

let all the others fall.

Perhaps we should stop and think,

when we hear a rumor spread.

What is the source of this panic?

Should we break the thread?

Hey Ron,
Toilet paper or ass-wipes are very bulky indeed.
Unlike canned tuna, all it takes is about 30 people to wipe out the supply in a store.
For if 30 people get greedy the bulky stuff soon goes away
It's not cost-effective to stock too much in reserve.
So when it's gone it takes time to get it back on the shelves.
I just tried to order some crappy paper on-line
From the looks of this crisis the delivery may take a long time.
Bidets are getting more popular. I wonder why?
Hey until they deliver, let's try to stay dry.

Nice work!

FOR ME THE BOTTOM LINE IS; GOD IS STILL SO TOTALLY IN CHARGE OF EVERYTHING...ALL OF IT! AND NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING...WILL HAPPEN THAT HE DOES NOT ALLOW! ATTENTION SHOULD BE GIVEN TO 'PROTOCOL' OF COURSE, BUT 'COMMON SENSE' IS THE RULE. AFTER 75 YEARS I'VE FINALLY LEARNED WHERE MY 'PEACE' LIES. THANKS FOR THE SHARE, RONALD, ENJOYED. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

When the stores finally replenish their stock on toilet paper, it will become a moot point.

As Friday used to say on "Dragnet", "The facts, Ma'am. Nothing but the facts.". Rock on, Ron!!

Love ya!

You are definitely on to something here, Ron, and so nicely put as well. Panic, hoarding, fear-mongering, it's all part of life nowadays brought on by the virus. May common sense save us from the madness. I was away on spring break from my workplace in Kuwait when the country went on lockdown and closed the airport. I couldn't get back into the country where I live and work and am now stuck in a hotel in Doha, where I used to live. Such is life nowadays.

Ron, how true these words... Bonnie, my wife loves St. Patrick's.
She hangs and [pastes green stuff all over our home... Last year, when getting undressed I discovered a green shamrock stuck to my ass... She makes a party and if you were local you would be invited... Only one restriction: NO POLITICS! We are on the opposite side regarding politics and I flatly refuse to argue or even talk about it because the argument is always futile... You will not change my mind and I will not change your mind so why even talk about it! Anyway, Getting back to St.Patrick's day, Bonnie has been shopping for all she needs... (great cook great traditional Irish dinner) ...and the stores are empty... She is a California girl and has lived through earthquakes and massive fires but has never...NEVER seen our stores as empty because of the stupid hoarders. Next week or a week from now many people are really going to feel stupid looking at their mountain of toilet paper... Your poem hit the spot today.

Well done Ron !

Panic = Manic ?

The media install fear into the minds of the vulnerable public and send them into a panicky mode. Everyone must think the end of the world is coming, or perhaps some think a WW3 is coming. The new trend now is that people are targetting canned food in the stores. Oh, this is bad when people can so easily be brainwashed by the media.
