No one really knows what the new year brings.

Jubilation Does Not Guarantee by Ron AI

Tide is Turning

The tide is turning,

I know not which way,

Just that it's turning,

Human nature holds sway.

A new year is dawning,

Whether it be good or bad.

We must roll with the tide,

The only role we've had.

I hope that your future,

Looks as good as mine.

As we raise our glasses,

To that auld lang syne.

It's been a while since you posted this. The new year thus far has been considerably less than encouraging.

“The only role we’ve had.” That sure is a reverberating thought. We go in with the tide, we go out with the tide, we rip with the tide; we roll with the die….move forward seven spaces, pass GO, collect $$ and don’t go to jail. Your poem is optimistic and good for that, Ron. Thank you for writing it and keep your pencil sharp…we need you. ~~ the other Diana
