Valentine's Day re-write of "The Old Valentine" I think it's better; I hope you do too. btw, IT'S NOT ABOUT ME AND MY SWEETIE BILL.

Poem Artwork

I know the lace is tattered, my dears;

The colors are faded and dim,

But the words that you see

In this old valentine

Were a love song to me

From My Jim.

'Twas written when we were young,

my dears,

And life was full to the brim.

It brings back memories

That have faded with time;

It's all I have left of

My Dear Jim.

Don't ask me to throw it away, my dears,

The paper is brittle and thin,

But it won't take much room

And I treasure it so,

This old valentine from

My Sweet Jim.

but the greatest of these is love.” I Corinthians 13:13

Very lovely. It captures so well the fact that love continues long after all else is gone. No material thing lasts, but love endures.
