"...I’m sticking a label
right smack on my mind..."

Poem Artwork

So, I have an idea
I think it will strive
I’m sticking a label
right smack on my mind!

Attached to my forehead
Clearly will state it
"Loony", out loud
for mom’s gone aphasic!

My husband will worry
but will refuse or evoke
knowing me, heeding me,
 with his 10 foot pole!

My children will react
"You Crazy You!"
The boys will crack up and
give me a "Who?"

The girls of the older
with arm over my shoulder
Will ask me, "What’s that
sticking stuck to my rack?"

The littlest one
will want it on her
But I’m thinking maybe
I can start what a stir!

If I’m labeled a "Loony"
no cooking I can
"Out to lunch" in the kitchen
might burn every pan!

The laundry I won’t
Dishwashing I don’t
Cause a "Loony" all wet
a cold I could catch!

Stuck on my head
"She Has a Screw Loose"
"It’s no wonder!", You’d say
"With those eleven to boot!"

I can’t drive a car
No errands to run
No kids to deliver
No diapers to bum!

Yup, I be labeled a "Loony"
and have me a blast!
But don’t fret too much
I know it won’t last.
..
‘Cause I tried this before
a long time ago
and to my utter wonder
it fell to MY blunder!

For another time this happened
and I labeled me "Loony"
My husband got smart
and labeled his "Puny!"

This is a delightful romp into your imagination, Kimmy! If you're a loony, then I am a fruitcake! Very well done, sweet friend -- God love ya, you're a wonderful mother -- He doesn't give that many children to loonies ... a Christmas hug,
CJ

There are far worse things than being a loony - I kind of like being one. Do you have any extra labels?!

Reviewed on December 10, 2006
I don't mind being called a loony. It then gives me the excuse to do what I want because I am a loony. As a loony we can generally be who we want to be and no one will take any notice because we are loonies. I can jump up on a table and claim to be Burl Ives and start singing Ugly Bug Ball. No one will bother because I am a loony. Heh Kimmy, this label you have shared has put ideas in my head for Christmas. I think I'll be Scrooge for a bit!

Bearing eleven children in this politically correct era of two babies per household I'd say you're far from a loony, but I know getting a break now and then will lead you to take things into your own hands. Rant on wonder woman God is on your side.
