I finally got online in my late forties
With that I made some e-mail pals
My hubby said, "They are not really your friends"
After four years, here is how
One of the cyber-only connection ends
We met to finally chat in person
We met to finally see eye to eye
We met at our sons' rock concert
And couldn't hear, couldn't see
But it mattered not, we gave it a try
And I learned one thing or maybe two or three
A pal is a pal no matter how you meet thee
Don't mind the Old English or the old Swede or the need to speed
We e-mailed each other for four years
And meeting even at a loud dark concert
Was music to our finger tapping souls in deed.

How special to meet someone you've known for years
on the net. I met the den's dreamweaver a while back.
