Justin Timberlake of the laundry room...

Poem Artwork

The lint
It was a problem
It accumulated
And smelled burnt
I freaked and
Screamed for hubby
Out of his chair
He swiftly turned
I'm bringin'
Clotheslines back
What did you just say
I'm bringin'
Clotheslines back
My lips trembled
Hips swayed
He grabbed the
Vacuum cleaner
And tried to
Suck the lint up
Soon the vacuum cleaner
Stopped working
We were flat
Out of luck
I'm bringin'
Clotheslines back
And corn brooms
That's waz-zup

I recall the days well, broom and clotheslines...not a bad idea, might lower our electric bill...hmm elbow grease, bees in the towels, dust from the broom..hmm, hmm, I'll stick with convenience! Loved this write, in reality I do love the clothesline in the summer for sheets and towels! Enjoyed this write, I can relate well!
Blessings,

True love is using a clothesline to dry clothes. Lynn, you always write about the really important things.

I love clotheslines! :)
The crisp cotton on my softened skin,
my clothes, that line dance in the wind...
Opened sheets, a flapping show
Clapping in freshness, from an air that blows...
Couldn't help myself...
You inspire me!
Love and Peace~
