I took a walk
I actually
Went outside
I thought it was
A stick
But it was
A snake
It looked dead
But then its red
Tongue stuck out
It never moved
I wondered why
Then I realized
It was a
Snake in bake
Just sunbathing
Ala nat-ur-al

Me don't care what a snake is doing
me don't like them.

Yeah, yesterday when I was in my flowers a snake slithered between Azalea bushes. It scared the beejeebers out of me and I threw a cup of scalding hot coffee on it. I TRIED to bake it, hosed it down with the water hose and then my crazy kid drove up. "Whatch'a, doin', Mom, a stompin' like that?"
"Snake!" I said and the crazy nut tried to catch it. I nearly went ballistic. At that moment I told him to go find a switch so I could bang him with it. He laughed and the snake hissed and I went into the house. Too danged early for any kind of snake...sun bathing, dead or alive.
He was tryin' to get a tan. LOL Adorable write, glad the snake didn't bite you! :) He sure was a sneaky snake, though; I probably would have screamed had he moved! LOL Very well done, Lynn; enjoyed this snakey tale~
