Just a thought as I looked out at my back yard this morning while listening to the rain pour down.

Poem Artwork

My, my what a wet dreary day, not one to take my grandchild outside to play, then I hear the roof pounding rain, especially when it hits with fury against the window panes.

I look out over my big back yard, a smile forms on my lips and a light heartedness settles within as I notice with joy tiny green heads sprounting above ground.

The early morning dew upon the grass to make it green and help make the new life grow fast, along with the new bulbs planted in the fall will now get a chance to grow nice and tall.

Can't wait to get out and play, so many new seedlings to put on display, my tomato trees and marigold flowers will really love all these showers.

My, my it really isn't such a dreary day, after all without the rain we wouldn't have green grass, trees and flowers, we should be thankful for all the April showers.
