I walked into a kaleidoscopic arboretum The sun, burst orange juice all over trees Some took on a bright crimson hue Others stained like the golden sunlight Please don't weep for me willow tree Just spread your leaves in my territory Sugar Maple you drip with delight Your flame can ignite a kings appetite Towering proud ponderosa pine Stretching green fingers to the divine As I linger among the varied tree shapes In this surreal beautiful dreamscape My passions are aroused I'm ecstatic I'm in astro-burn, heart beat erratic Inhaling the beauty that surrounds me Every breath brimming with satiety As Autumn exhales in all of its intensity
It's awesome you can draw energy from nature. That's what I need to do. I did it as a child. Somehow, I lost the ability as I supposedly "grew up." Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and peace,
ah, you should take a journey through the NY Botanical Garden ... it perhaps the best known in the world ... every type of tree, shrub, flower grows it its gardens, nurseries and hot house (which is one of the largest in the world) ... it also has the most renown center in both the northern and southern hemispheres developing pharmaceuticals from plants from all over the world ... it encompasses about a fifth of the Bronx and i live a block away ;)
have your trees really turned?? of course, here in GA we wait at least another month for Autumn in full glory. this poem lifted me to that glory a little early. thanks! Dawn

Beautiful Autumnal write, Eileen. The trees have not turned here yet since we had a long and wet monsoon season this year, for which I am most grateful. The balloon fiesta will start in a week or so and I was hoping for the Bosque to have turned the vivid colors so that I could get some pictures of the balloons touching down in the Rio Grande amongst red and gold colors that adorn our state flag, but not this year...it just gives me something to look forward to next year!! This poem explodes from the page in Technicolor flare.

The poem is exceptional and gives us a kaliedescope of Autumn's colors. With this beautiful graphc it intensifies the magic. You are so lucky to live in this paradise. I wish I lived there 24/7 rather than visit it now and then.
