As I watch Creator's artistry unfold The surrounding mountains now hidden Still provide the benefit of their protection As the scent of their huge Pine trees Are carried on the gentle breeze
I'm amazed at the stillness, while the heavens Writhe in excitement making way for the moon As the sun slowly descends below the horizon With it's splendor casting a shimmering show On the lake, in a glorious glow
The cloud formations and the sky like a canvas Being painted with exuberance by the artist Who could never capture the reality as created Though we may strive to copy what we see Nothing can truly describe Creator's imagery
Eileen, as a kid, I spent several summers at Donner Lake, and honestly thought it was heads and tails a better place than Lake Tahoe. Thanks for bringing back some great memories.

This truly is magnificent! It's so hard for me to understand an atheist's view of life ... how can one look at a scene such as this and not believe?

How so very true, Tiger Lily, and Donner Lake is a marvelous place to behold it.
