Nest Building for 2008

Poem Artwork

Who dares to rain upon my soul
Red hawks look for prey whole
soar in flocks up to pericynthion
use my battered body to sleep upon


Crows stain the sky in hordes of black
keep their talons gripping the back
with every movement the pain grows
they go wherever the wind blows


The mighty eagle they call protector
makes hawks and crows head for cover
the evil vulture who spreads despair
hovers over all, waiting for his share


Faith set me on the road persevere
so I could overcome misery and fear
my spirit wounded but never broken
will keep me focused when it's awoken


Awake now! mighty Spirit of redemption
make this feeble mortal feel exemption
bring a host of doves to grace the skies
reveal my indiscretions with no lies


Make me new for  2008!

In the brilliance that is creation, regeneration and overall house cleaning was given exceptional creation. Nature is a wonderful lesson and so is this very wise poem, Eileen. Your heart is always written into every line herein.
