Poem Artwork

The breeze in subtle movement
lifts the petals from a rose
and it flutters to the ground
without a sound, i watch with
eyes half closed,from my garden
chair,taking pleasure in the scented
air, while thoughts of beauty play
poetically in my mind, hoping to
find words to become a poem...
an unusually  warm day makes the
lazy senses go astray,from one
topic to another, and sleep gently
flirts with me, makes closing my eyes
a priority,and i see no reason why i
shouldn't succumb to dreamland...

Sleepy time. . . .
Write down any words you find
Cause if you're like me
They'll have vanished come wake up time!
I loved this.

Oh, I know the feeling...I sit and think, trying to feed on anything that will present itself, and I could sleep so soundly instead...but, I re-open my eyes, fighting the inevitable, still searching for that first word... that one thought that will take me off in another dreamland I'd better recall! LOL!
Such a poem!
Loved it!

Lovely! Yah, I agree, it feels like spring down here too. It was 85 degrees in the mountains last weekend. This could have been written by the Buddha; it's so peaceful and introspective.

Beautiful and "dreamy" poem
So nice to sit in a garden and drift asleep as the sun warms us.

there certainly can be no greater pleasure than leisure time spent in the garden -- flowers to mesmerize and warm sun to call the sandman close -- you may then flirt with both and choose the one that best suits the moment and your fancy -- Eileen, just an absolutely soothing aura you established with your poem and the great photograph that accompanies it -- bring forth the light of love and great joy will bring you peace -- JMW
