As I look back
On the year in passing
I look beyond the troubles
And find
That I have been
Most blessed:
I've good health,
Friends galore
And family who love me,
A roof over my head,
And enough food to satisfy
My hearty appetite;
I'm hale and whole
And still in this game
Called Life
Despite the knocks
That sometimes come my way;
And I live in a country
Where I am free
To be the best me
I can be.
So when I bow my head
Before our Thanksgiving feast
I'll remember everyone
And everything
That has made this year
A rewarding adventure,
And thank God
For my many,
Many
Blessings.
