“Every day is a gift. But some days are packaged better.” Sanhita Baruah
A moonless night,
Stars like diamonds
On black velvet,
Hints of cedar,
Of burning leaves,
Of snow on the air.
An owl hooting
From a dormant tree,
A dog barking
In the distance,
Lovers strolling
Along frosty trails,
And
Carols flowing out
From within a church.
All are impressions
Keenly drawn upon
My senses
As I allow the season
To embrace me.
