Dear Mama, I wanted to be yours. I wanted you for my Mama. I had you all picked out, But you changed things. I wanted to be yours. All sugar and spice And everything nice, But you changed things. I wanted to be yours. Your pride and joy. I had all sorts of plans for us, But you changed things. I wanted to be yours. I wanted to play dress up And have baby dolls of my own, But you changed things. I was yours. I'd memorized your voice. The beat of your heart... But you changed things.
