... no color, except the mist of sadness. ....

Written for those, grieving. Including me.

Poem Artwork

... all i can hear is the white/noise
of absence, of silence.  life has
gone out of ... life.  no color,
except the mist of sadness.

lonely.  so lonely.  feel forgotten.
how long will this go on?  can
only hold so long:  hands are
slipping -- about to fall --

can't do this on my own.  need
your help, God.  you know
what this is like, i don't.
can't stand the sound

of white/noise, loud in its absolute
silence.  hold me in your arms
and let me rest, knowing i
was loved and am ....

eeek that's a most irritating noise. Grey skys, nothin going right, it's enough to scare us into a despondancy...Keep a watch out for a blue sky, take a photo, and when the blues hit, focus on what is still about, not what is looming overhead.
Hugs And love always

Juliet got this right, Karla, a psalm it is, a beautiful call to God in the midst of the storm. If anybody is loved on AD, it's you--Jerry

Karla's Psalms! This also reminds me of the ancient Egyptian prayer: "Protect me in all the empty places through which I must walk." Beautiful, poignant.

The Lord will bring you out of this grief; give Him a chance, and know that many people do indeed care for you and love you (me, most of all)! Heartbreaking write of sadness and despair; you are ever in my prayers! May the Lord comfort your hurting heart, and may He heal you, too!

I hope you and Karen are going to be safe. I still have not heard from my friend, Pier Tyler yet.

I'm glad you are able to write out your sadness and your frustration so you won't have to bottled them inside you.

Take care. May God bless you both!

Oh my Karla, the pain in this write is so powerful that God must certainly hear. I saw the damage again on the TV this morning and places where nothing is anymore. Heartbreaking. Be safe my friend and while God's holding you in his arms, whisper in his ear, "Why God, Why." Love hugs, and kisses. Bonnie
