i know the feeling and it is not confined to your country, I was an employee of the canadian government for almost thirty years and when ill health forced me to retire and beuraucratic screws ups took all I had the pension that remained isn't even enough that I and have enough of my meds to last a full month.

Get real - 150,000 true, Lobster and Iranian Caviar, false, apparently... - truth is, the anger and frustration felt is real, and really felt through your words - whatever happens politically, when things get tough, true grit resolve empathy action and achievement prospers in grass root collective organisation and individual creativity, where we the people surprise ourselves, with what we can do individually and together to improve the quality of life for ourselves and others around us - when need speaks and people answer there is some magic in the exchange, just like there is in poetry - you tell it like it is -it's wrong, how to make it less so, and how to make day to day better now, is always the question..(i'm ranting Karla, Nurse Silent has done a runner! i'm meeting such young street kids daily here, we talk, have lunch, there are organisations...it can all be very depressing -better to speak up, and do something positive, than let hopelessness win, right? The 150,000, like other big bucks that magically filter down, is supposed to be auctioned off toward something 'charitable' after...hm.... Right on, Sweetie! They cannot get real; they don't have the tools. Not one of those politicians would survive one single night on our mean streets. "That's the problem with Senator Obama's ..." he'd say, and get killed by folks at the bottom of the economic scale who know that his watch and cufflinks are worth more than his conversation. There are truths out on those streets that politicians will never know.
