This poem illustrates my dislike of alarm clocks!
The drilling through my head of the bell by my bed, piercing, shrieking, far too near, taunting, screeching in my ear. Unwelcome intrusion in my dreams of illusion. Penetrating, ringing, to consciousness bringing. Shattering thoughts of slumber, as it rings like thunder. Evil bell by my bed, pounding through my head. Relentless bell. Morning hell.
